Slumber or Eternal Day?

I’m not sure why

people talk about death

and what happens when they die

using euphemisms

that make them cry

or talking about eternal slumber

somewhere in the sky

or endless days of light

where souls gather and pray

sharing stories in an afterlife

created to expel fear

of the great unknown

that all experience some day
